About Us

Enviroclean’s Focus:

We are the First Carpet Cleaning Company to address the issue of proper hygiene as it relates to cleaning, and particularly, carpet and floor cleaning.  Most people have their carpet and flooring cleaned to address cosmetic and vanity issues.  Therefore, most carpet cleaners have defined cleaning as appearance, and as a result, they employ dirt masking chemicals and soaps which “HIDE” the dirt from our eyes temporarily.  That type of ‘cleaning” is counterproductive and exacerbates an already unhealthy condition.  Since the action of cleaning is either cosmetic or health, why not receive the benefits of both, by hiring the only company which addresses both issues?  Cleaning, therefore, if performed for hygienic issues is by default, the removal of biological contaminates which may adversely affect the quality of the indoor environment.

Each year in the USA alone, approximately 100,000 people die after contracting MRSA (methicilin resistant staphylococcus aureus) 0r C-Diff (Clostridium difficile) during a hospital visit.  It is very likely that MRSA and C-Diff are responsible for many addtional thousands of deaths than reported.  The concern over these highly dangerous and resistant infectious Super Bugs has been brought to the forefront by the revelation of several high profile professional football players becoming infected while receiving medical care.  There are many varieties of biological concerns as well, for example, 36,000 people in the U.S.A. die from the common flu bug every year, thats over 100 people each and every day.  Our point is that the primary focus in any type of cleaning should be health care cleaning to remove biological contaminates, and a nice benefit of proper and appropriate health care cleaning should produce a high quality appearance level.

Our primary focus is human health care and improving the IEQ (Indoor Environmental Quality), and our secondary objective is a high quality cosmetic appearance.  Most of us wash our hands dozens of times each day to remove germs.  We remove germs from our hands, dishes, cups, countertops, floors, clothing, and we monitor our food for spoilage in an effort to decrease our chances of contracting illness causing diseases.  So why would you hire a carpet cleaner who is not a certified Health Care Cleaning Technician?    More people die from microscopic germs than all the wars, accidents, and murders combined.  .

Currently nearly all of the cleaning programs developed by the so-called cleaning industry leaders focus primarily on appearance, and give only Lip-Service to health care. In fact, during training for certification in Cleaning 101, the neophyte cleaning technician learns how to clean for appearance and how to wooooo the female audience, while  health care is a terciary issue.  The carpet manufacturers developed carpet fibers with dirt hiding capabilities.  Imagine purchasing your dishes with dirt hiding abilities.  Dirt itself is germs, so just think, the carpet manufacturers made carpeting to hide germs.  Best of all, the manufacturers of carpeting are the entities who dictate how often carpeting should be cleaned.  We call that having the fox watching the chicken coop, and make the rules for the chickens.

Improving the appearance of something is but a very small part of ‘clean’. It is possible to improve the appearance of carpeting which has had a dog urinate upon it; however, it is not clean, just because the stain may not be visible at the surface.  Carpeting is the perfect filter for everything in the house (the greatest percentage of dust is dead human skin cells). Carpeting is clothing for the floor. Imagine placing a white towel on the carpeting within your home and walking on it repeatedly for a week, a month, a year.  If you wear shoes in your home, after about one month, you would probably throw that towel in the trash, so why wait so long to have your carpeting cleaned?

We are one of the founding members of the Health & Hygienic Cleaning Certification Institute (HHCCI).
